I had an amazing time last Sunday evening in Antwerpen, Belgium. Asking why ? Well, I got the incredible chance to see Coldplay on stage (yeah yeah I was very lucky because all the tickets had been sold in less than 45 minutes). Anyway, it was just a great music night !!! Yeahhhhhhhhh !!! Thanks to the band for these very special music moments...

To close the Baltics chapter, I want to present you a Lithuanian illustrator : Kotryna Zukauskaite. I found out about her great work when I was spending a few days in Vilnius. At the tourism office, they were selling some goodies she had made. So I bought this beautiful blue t-shirt and pretty postcard.

This is a 'famous' sign you can see in Tallinn. Kind of scary, right ? So, some creative people created postcards, posters and other things from this sign. Instead of a bag, they put a red heart with the mention "Stolen in Tallinn" (= My heart was stolen in Tallinn) which is more fun/romantic than the first version.

Anyway, just to let you know that Tallinn was the European Capital of Culture 2011.

Pippi Longstocking

Do you know Pippi ? She is Swedish and I was used to watch her adventures on TV when I was a kid. They had traduced her name in French as "Fifi Brindacier".

Well, Pippi lived in a small Swedish village, sharing the house "Villa Villekulla" with her monkey and her horse. She had two good friends living next door : Tommy and Annika Settergren. The three had many adventures. Pippi valued her friendship with these two above anything in her life. Because she had no relatives.

At the time I remember I was fascinated by her strength. It was said she had "the strength of ten policemen". In movies, she could pick up her horse. She could also pull bars out of a jail window and throws pirates across a room. I thought it was amazing !!!

Anyway, I am just coming back from Sweden where I spent a few days (Stockholm) and I was pleased to see Pippi (Fifi) in shops and everything.

Pippi Långstrump, in Swedish, is a fictional character taken from series of children's books. The author is Astrid Lindgren.

Here is a little video of an episode of "Pippi Longstocking" taken from Youtube. The main actress is Inger Nilsson (1969/English version).

I am in the mood of sharing with you a video clip today. So I choose : "En t'attendant" by the French singer/actress Mélanie Laurent. "En t'attendant" is also the title of her first album. I actually got the chance to see her on stage last May in Brussels and I really enjoyed her concert !!!

Let me present you Vilnius, capital of Lithuania. What a wonderful city !!! I really fell in love with (beautiful) Vilnius. The first picture I want to show you is a wedding. I have seen a few weddings during my trip in the Baltic countries but this picture here, in Vilnius, is definitely my favourite. I like what's going on in the picture : the photographer of the wedding(the blond girl)taking photos, the old lady watching the scene, the bike passing through and of course "the couple of the day"...

Back to this blog with some pictures taken in Lithuania this summer. I was walking on my way to a supermarket in Kaunas and I noticed this huge advertising then I took a few pictures. I have to say that I like the contrast between yellow and green. Basketball is the number one sport in Lithuania.

I am currently working on a short film called "Fréquence M" with some of my colleagues. Here are a few pictures. This short film has been written by John Bellomo. The story is about celebrity and teens. I will show you more soon. Promis !

Last weekend, I saw the movie called " The tree " and I loved it. The music of "The tree" is written by Grégoire Hetzel and it is just beautiful. But there's another artist's music that I fell in love with. The song is called "to build a home" by Patrick Watson. That song really gives me goose bumps.

So far, I have shared with you pictures taken during my trip around Australia. Today, I decided to show you a little piece of Angra do Heroísmo(the Azores). A few years ago, I had the amazing chance to spend 6 months in the Archipelago of Azores, especially on Terceira Island. This experience was great and I keep some many good memories about Angra.
